Deep Tissue Massage

Picture
Massage, applied skillfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the muscular-skeletal system.
Received regularly this may help athletes prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by overuse. A constant build-up of tension in the muscles from regular activity may lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves.

These muscle imbalances may develop and often go undiagnosed until they are serious enough to cause the athlete discomfort or impact on performance.

It may therefore be reasonably claimed that one of the greatest benefits of sports massage is in helping prevent injury.
At Tri 2 Win Coaching we are providing deep tissue massage Therapy.

Our therapist Greg Pye, has been actively involved in sports for over 30 years and realizes the importance of maintaining your body fitness.
Having competed in triathlon for a number of years, he has found massage therapy to be highly beneficial to his longevity in training and competition.

WARM UP
WARM UP

10-20 min before an event, this is a great idea in cooler climates where it may be otherwise difficult
PRESSURE RECOMMENDATIONS
PRESSURE RECOMMENDATIONS

Higher pressure isn’t necessarily better. Blood volume varies based on the size of the person, and you should never be uncomfortable with the leg cuffs.
140 – 180 mmhg should be comfortable for most.
ZONE CONTROL
ZONE CONTROL

The cuffs are split into 4 zones corresponding to the pump display. Zones can be turned off to allow more time on other zones that require more attention.
Timer – 10, 20 and 30 min options
FEET
FEET

Some athletes (particularly those with broader feet) occasionally feel discomfort in the foot area.
  • First, make sure your feet are not protruding outside the cuff
  • If discomfort persists, suggest either turning zone 1 off (by pressing the corresponding zone on the control panel) or Select Mode A (Peristaltic) for treatment, both methods will still result in effective treatment.
